The Barns at Redcoats Wedding Videographer | Jodie & Matt
Trailer
A Glimpse of the Day
When these guests performed during the wedding breakfast, I nodded at Georgina and said “this is my Teaser soundtrack”. This 1.5 minute Teaser was designed to bring back instant memories of the promises Matt & Jodie made to each other and the reasons Matt gave for falling in love with Jodie.
The Barns at Redcoats is a beautifully restored barn venue in Hertfordshire, combining rustic character with modern finishes. Its exposed beams, courtyard spaces and relaxed countryside setting create a warm, intimate atmosphere that suits documentary wedding filmmaking perfectly. The layout allows the day to flow naturally, from ceremony through to evening celebrations.
Jodie & Matt wanted a Winter Barn Wedding, without it being too Christmassy. They also wanted a laid back, candid, documentary wedding videographer and they found me. With only a few weeks before the holiday season it was hard not to be in the Xmas mood but the styling was subtle, but most notably they had Nordic trees at the end of the aisle - this later made great for an impactful first kiss (shout out to the planner Georgina Rose Events for that one!).
A laid back couple to compliment my easy to work with approach meant we were in for a good day. I had the pleasure of capturing everything from Matt and the Groomsmen jumping starting their old jeep which failed en route to the venue, beautifully matched personal vows and surprise performances from guests which just had to be the soundtrack to their Teaser Trailer.
Filming at The Barns at Redcoats
• The ceremony barn offers soft, directional light that works beautifully for natural coverage without intrusive lighting setups.
• The lawn creates a relaxed space for confetti and candid guest moments.
• The compact layout keeps everything close, allowing seamless coverage without interrupting the flow of the day.
• The reception barn lends itself well to clear speeches audio and atmospheric evening footage.
Feature Film
This is the full wedding film — candid, story-driven, and carefully curated to reflect the essence of Jodie & Matt’s celebration. A keepsake they’ll revisit for a lifetime.
Highlights from the speeches
