Planning to Elope in London

Whether it’s just the two of you, or a handful of your closest people, eloping in London has a completely different feel to a traditional wedding day.

There’s less structure, more freedom, and a chance to experience the city together without everything being scheduled minute by minute.

A walk through the streets, a quiet moment after your ceremony, jumping in a black cab to your next spot. It all becomes part of the story.

That’s what I focus on capturing. Nothing staged, nothing forced. Just how it actually felt to be there.

What an Elopement Film Feels Like

Elopements aren’t about big set pieces or packed timelines.

They’re about:

  • the anticipation before you head into your ceremony

  • the way you look at each other when it’s just the two of you

  • the movement through the city as the day unfolds

My approach stays the same as any wedding I film. I keep things relaxed, unobtrusive, and let moments happen naturally.

You won’t be pulled away for long shoots or asked to perform. Instead, you’ll have space to enjoy it, while everything is captured quietly in the background.

Why London Works So Well for Elopements

London gives you a huge amount of variety without needing to travel far.

You can go from a ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall, to quiet streets in Notting Hill, to iconic views along Westminster Bridge, all within the same day.

For something a little different, places like St Dunstan in the East offer a completely unique backdrop tucked away in the city.

Because everything is close together, the day flows naturally. There’s no pressure to rush, and plenty of time to take it all in.

My Approach to Filming Elopements

Elopements suit a more documentary approach perfectly.

I work with a minimal setup, keep a low profile, and let the day unfold as it naturally would. No big production, no interruptions.

If you’re moving between locations, I’ll move with you. If plans change on the day, that’s completely fine too.

Most couples I work with say they didn’t want to feel like they were being filmed. That’s exactly the point.

“He is kind, funny, patient, and EXTREMELY TALENTED.

Dave came into our world as a videographer, but we now view him as a friend.”

TEMP

“Coming from the U.S. to elope in London, having a film to relive that day and share with our family and friends meant the world to us.

We are endlessly grateful for the time, care, and passion Dave poured into our experience.”

- Lexi & Steph 2025

Elopement Videography Pricing

Every elopement is slightly different, so I keep things flexible rather than forcing set packages.

Coverage typically starts from £1,200, with most couples investing between £1,200 – £2,000 depending on how the day is planned.

This usually depends on:

  • how long you’d like coverage for

  • how many locations you’re visiting

  • whether you’re including a ceremony, couple shoot, or both

If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s completely normal. Most couples aren’t.
