Hey, I’m Dave - the filmmaker behind Love Me Do Wedding Films.

I live in Hitchin with my girlfriend Nikki and our little boy, Ren. We spend our free time on adventures, or sat in the park watching planes go by - Ren’s favourite past time. I’m a lover of craft beer, burgers, and a good film.

My journey into wedding filmmaking started from a love of cinema, not the blockbuster kind, but the kind that makes you feel something. One of the first films that really opened my eyes to cinematography was a snowboarding film called Into the Mind, the way visuals, sound, and emotion worked together was pure magic. That has stuck with me ever since.

I’ve been filming weddings for over five years now, and still get those same nerves and excitement on every morning of a wedding. It’s a privilege to be trusted with something so personal and intimate, to capture your day in a way that feels real, timeless, and true to you.

Real moments, quietly observed.

My wedding films capture your wedding day as it unfolds, in a natural style that reflects you, your family and friends. Hoping I can bring out your character into a film that defines your relationship and personalities using both visuals and a well throughout soundtrack. I am very relaxed, chilled and bring absolutely no pressure when it comes to filming your day and all the details of it.

How I approach wedding filmmaking

I approach weddings with a documentary mindset, looking at capturing what actually happens rather than trying to create something that didn’t. You won’t find me directing, or interrupting moments. I’ll blend into the background, filming in natural light and letting the day unfold on its own.

Every film is different because every couple is different. I don’t follow trends or try to replicate other people’s work. I believe your film should reflect you. The laughter, the nerves, the emotion, the chaos. All of it.

My editing style is cinematic and considered. I work with sound and music in a way that feels organic - letting speeches, vows, and small interactions tell the story. Sometimes it’s quiet and intimate, sometimes it’s full of energy, but always it’s honest.

When you watch your film back, I want you to feel like you’re right there again, not watching a production, but reliving your memories.

“He goes about his work in such an unassuming way that you don't even realise he is there and the end product we received in terms of our wedding film is something that we love and will treasure for the rest of our lives.”

“Dave absolutely nailed it…”
