Hey, I’m Dave - the filmmaker behind Love Me Do Wedding Films.

A documentary wedding videographer based in Hertfordshire, filming weddings across the UK. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, focused on capturing genuine moments without interrupting the flow of the day.

Most couples tell me they felt completely at ease, and often forgot I was even there. That’s exactly how it should feel.

Years of experience mean I can anticipate moments before they happen, so nothing important is missed. It’s a privilege to be trusted with something so personal and intimate, to capture your day in a way that feels real, timeless, and true to you.

Real moments, quietly observed.

What it’s like having at your wedding

I work quietly alongside your photographer, blending into the day rather than directing it. I won’t pull you away for long posed sessions, and I won’t turn your wedding into a production.

My focus is on capturing the atmosphere, the in-between moments and the speeches that matter most.

“He goes about his work in such an unassuming way that you don't even realise he is there…”

“Dave absolutely nailed it…”

My journey into wedding filmmaking started from a love of cinema, not always the blockbuster kind, but the kind that makes you feel something. One of the first films that really opened my eyes to cinematography was a snowboarding film called Into the Mind, the way visuals, sound, and emotion worked together was pure magic. That has stuck with me ever since.

I live in Hitchin, with my other half Nikki and son Ren.

I’ve filmed weddings in manor houses, countryside barns and city venues, adapting to different spaces while keeping the approach consistent. Years of experience mean I know when to step forward and when to stay back.

If you’re looking for someone who will blend in, stay calm and capture your wedding as it truly felt, I’d love to hear about your plans.

FAQs

Drone footage is always weather and location dependent, but I’ve only had one wedding in my entire career where the weather didn’t give me at least a small window to fly.
